Description

Good braking performance on snow:

Fine-tuned for winter conditions, the tread pattern ensures safe driving and short braking distances on snow-covered roads.

Precise handling in dry conditions:

The tyre convinces by its stability. This results in precise vehicle handling and short braking distances on dry roads.

Effective protection against aquaplaning:

High driving safety and effective protection against aquaplaning are also achieved on wet roads.

What the tyre markings mean

XL: Reinforced tyre (XL)XL means Extra Load. The tyre is reinforced and can carry a higher load than a standard tyre of the same size. Always follow the vehicle's specified load index and tyre pressure.
M+S: Mud and Snow (M+S)M+S is a manufacturer's indication that the tread is intended to offer improved traction in mud and snow. By itself it is not the same as the tested 3PMSF winter certification.
3PMSF: Three-Peak Mountain SnowflakeThe mountain-and-snowflake symbol identifies a tyre that has passed a standardised severe-snow traction test. It is the recognised performance marking for winter conditions.
EV: Suitable for electric vehiclesThis tyre is optimised for the weight, torque, rolling resistance and noise requirements of electric and hybrid vehicles. The marking does not mean that it can only be used on an EV.
Rim protection: Rim protectionA raised rubber profile near the bead helps protect the rim edge from light kerb contact. It cannot prevent every type of wheel damage.

Reliable summer rubber
Braking in the wet feels a touch longer than my old premium set, but at this price it's fair.

Very happy with these
Fuel consumption seems slightly better since the switch. Tyres themselves are great. Second set of Barum on this car. Stable and precise in summer heat. Nothing fancy, but fair for the price.

Nice upgrade
Would recommend to anyone after a dependable summer tyre without overspending. Stable and precise in summer heat. Nothing fancy, but fair for the price.

Handles well
Fitted before a long road trip. Comfortable at motorway speeds and felt safe in heavy rain.

All-round good pick
Very quiet on tarmac. The Quartaris 5 made my commute noticeably more relaxed.

Solid choice
Wet braking is excellent. Gave me real confidence on a flooded motorway stretch. Braking in the wet feels a touch longer than my old premium set, but at this price it's fair. Stable and precise in summer heat.
