What the tyre markings mean

XL: Reinforced tyre (XL)XL means Extra Load. The tyre is reinforced and can carry a higher load than a standard tyre of the same size. Always follow the vehicle's specified load index and tyre pressure.
M+S: Mud and Snow (M+S)M+S is a manufacturer's indication that the tread is intended to offer improved traction in mud and snow. By itself it is not the same as the tested 3PMSF winter certification.
3PMSF: Three-Peak Mountain SnowflakeThe mountain-and-snowflake symbol identifies a tyre that has passed a standardised severe-snow traction test. It is the recognised performance marking for winter conditions.

Great on the motorway
Bought a full set of Falken for the family car. Comfortable ride and no drama in the rain.

Trusted Falken quality
Good all-season tyre for the money. Rolling noise is low and braking feels predictable. Had them fitted last month.

Braking feels secure
Reliable all-season rubber. No surprises, which is exactly what I want. Very quiet on tarmac. Coped fine with a light snowfall in early spring.

Would buy again
Driven about 3,000 km on these so far. Wear looks even and grip is consistent. Reliable all-season rubber.

Worth the money
Fitted them at a mate's garage. Straightforward job and they've been faultless since. Comfortable over rough surfaces.
