What the tyre markings mean

XL: Reinforced tyre (XL)XL means Extra Load. The tyre is reinforced and can carry a higher load than a standard tyre of the same size. Always follow the vehicle's specified load index and tyre pressure.
M+S: Mud and Snow (M+S)M+S is a manufacturer's indication that the tread is intended to offer improved traction in mud and snow. By itself it is not the same as the tested 3PMSF winter certification.
3PMSF: Three-Peak Mountain SnowflakeThe mountain-and-snowflake symbol identifies a tyre that has passed a standardised severe-snow traction test. It is the recognised performance marking for winter conditions.
Rim protection: Rim protectionA raised rubber profile near the bead helps protect the rim edge from light kerb contact. It cannot prevent every type of wheel damage.

Fair tyre for the money
Not the grippiest in hard cornering, but for normal driving they're more than adequate.

Reliable all-season rubber
A sensible buy. Not sporty, but safe and quiet. Grip in corners is reassuring and the steering feels a bit sharper than before.

Good, not perfect
Bought a full set of Falken for the family car. Comfortable ride and no drama in the rain. Coped fine with a light snowfall in early spring.

Would buy again
For this price I didn't expect much, but the Euroallseason AS-220 PRO genuinely surprised me. Put these on two months ago and the car feels noticeably more planted.

A step up from my old set
Comfortable over rough surfaces. My old set used to thump over every bump. Had them fitted last month. Nice not having to swap tyres twice a year.

Reliable all-season rubber
Switched from a budget brand to the Euroallseason AS-220 PRO — the difference in braking is obvious. Nice not having to swap tyres twice a year.
