Description

Kumho PorTran 4S CX11 – All-weather tyres for vans and motorhomes

Excellent All-Season performance: Special compound and newest technology for light commercial vehicles to ensure high mileage as well as safety and confident driving all year round.

Focused on mileage performance: Wide-and-Flat tread design and 3D slope tie-bar with reinforced block stiffness resulting in uniform footprint shape, even wear and hence higher mileage.

Excellent braking performance: High grip resin compound and optimized sipe arrangement providing impressive grip on wet and snowy roads.

Fuel efficient driving: Special low-rolling-resistance technology and aerodynamic shoulder design in order to reduce fuel consumption.

What the tyre markings mean

M+S: Mud and Snow (M+S)M+S is a manufacturer's indication that the tread is intended to offer improved traction in mud and snow. By itself it is not the same as the tested 3PMSF winter certification.
3PMSF: Three-Peak Mountain SnowflakeThe mountain-and-snowflake symbol identifies a tyre that has passed a standardised severe-snow traction test. It is the recognised performance marking for winter conditions.

Smooth ride
Put these on two months ago and the car feels noticeably more planted. The Portran CX11 grips well on dry roads. Comfortable over rough surfaces. No squirm even on hot asphalt.

Worth the money
Not the grippiest in hard cornering, but for normal driving they're more than adequate. Stable and precise in summer heat.

Great on the motorway
Early days, but first impressions are very good. Smooth and quiet.

Solid choice
For this price I didn't expect much, but the Portran CX11 genuinely surprised me.

Solid summer tyre
Handles standing water better than my previous set. Feel much safer in autumn rain. Switched from a budget brand to the Portran CX11 — the difference in braking is obvious. No squirm even on hot asphalt.

Nice upgrade
For this price I didn't expect much, but the Portran CX11 genuinely surprised me. Decent tyre at a fair price.
