What the tyre markings mean

M+S: Mud and Snow (M+S)M+S is a manufacturer's indication that the tread is intended to offer improved traction in mud and snow. By itself it is not the same as the tested 3PMSF winter certification.
3PMSF: Three-Peak Mountain SnowflakeThe mountain-and-snowflake symbol identifies a tyre that has passed a standardised severe-snow traction test. It is the recognised performance marking for winter conditions.

Fine tyre, minor niggles
Comfortable over rough surfaces. My old set used to thump over every bump. The car feels more stable in crosswinds since fitting these.

Worth the money
A sensible buy. Not sporty, but safe and quiet. Put these on two months ago and the car feels noticeably more planted. Nice not having to swap tyres twice a year.

Strong performer
Had them fitted last month. Wet grip is confidence-inspiring and they look the part too. Braking in the wet feels a touch longer than my old premium set, but at this price it's fair. Coped fine with a light snowfall in early spring. Slightly firmer ride than I expected.

Pleasantly surprised
Ride comfort is the standout. Long journeys feel less tiring now. Handles standing water better than my previous set.

Good grip in the wet
Solid everyday tyre. Nothing flashy, but it does everything I ask of it. Coped fine with a light snowfall in early spring.
