Based on the prizewinning ROADTEC M01, is ROADTEC™ 01 SE characterized by a higher negative profile share on the shoulders of the front- and rear tyre. It delivers the tread a more sporty character and ensures this way a more powerful performance for sporty ambitious tourers. With its 18% negative profile share, the central part of the tread on ROADTEC™ 01 SE has the same profile ratio of its predecessor, in order to benefit from the innovative water evacuation technology that has been developed for ROADTEC™ 01.
Unlike the ROADTEC™ 01 whose negative profile share is between 16% and 6%, the negative profile share of the ROADTEC™ 01 SE decreases with 10% across the shoulders, from an inclination of 25 degrees and gets on the outermost shoulder even to slick.
Thanks to this property, ROADTEC™ 01 SE offers larger contact surface in high inclination positions and delivers this way more confidence and direction stability when cornering.
Mileage and constant performance
ROADTEC™ 01 SE keeps the superb mileage of ROADTEC™ 01. The tread pattern on the front tyre features a great number of lateral grooves which ensures better mechanical grip, water evacuation and gives a high security feeling.
Thanks to the large contact area the punctual load can be reduced, which contributes to reduced heat development, less wear and increased mileage.
Security on both wet and slippery surfaces
ROADTEC™ 01 SE inherits its tread design from the multiple awarded ROADTEC™ 01 with great improvements as for grip at full inclination. The front tyre is characterized by a great number of transverse grooves, which ensure mechanical adhesion and water evacuation under wet conditions. The rear tyre connects both flat and short tread grooves and fulfils this way, complementary functions: the first ones improve traction on low-adhesion surfaces; the other ones prevent lateral slip and improve track stability.

Good, not perfect
Ride comfort is the standout. Long journeys feel less tiring now. Good in town and on the motorway alike.
Nice upgrade
Handles standing water better than my previous set. Feel much safer in autumn rain.
Worth the money
They're okay. Comfortable enough, but I expected a bit sharper turn-in.
Reliable summer rubber
Good value, though the sidewall is softer than my previous set. Ordered online, fitted locally. Slightly firmer ride than I expected.
Quality you can feel
Braking in the wet feels a touch longer than my old premium set, but at this price it's fair.
A step up from my old set
Put these on two months ago and the car feels noticeably more planted. The Roadtec 01 SE Rear M/C grips well on dry roads. No squirm even on hot asphalt.
