Alpin 7 – a winter tyre built for safe cold-season driving
[1] - snow braking - Tests conducted by UTAC, on Michelin's request in North Finland (Mellatracks), in December 2023, on dimension 205/55 R16 91H on VW Golf 8. Based on Snow braking tests with ABS (between 30 and 10 kph), comparing MICHELIN Alpin 7 (100%) versus MICHELIN Alpin 6 tire (93.6%), performed on a new tire.
[2] - snow acceleration - Tests conducted by UTAC, on Michelin's request in North Finland (Mellatracks), in December 2023, on dimension 205/55 R16 91H on VW Golf 8. Based on Snow acceleration tests (between 5 and 30 kph) , comparing MICHELIN Alpin 7 (100%) versus MICHELIN Alpin 6 tire (98.5%), performed on a new tire.
[3] - energy consumption - Energy consumption means petrol for thermal and hybrid vehicles, electricity for electric vehicles.

Very happy with these
Ordered online, fitted locally. The tyres themselves have been faultless so far. Fitted before a long road trip. Not the last word in steering feel.

Smooth ride
Put these on two months ago and the car feels noticeably more planted. The Alpin 7 grips well on dry roads. Had them fitted last month.

Okay for everyday driving
Wet braking is excellent. Gave me real confidence on a flooded motorway stretch. For this price I didn't expect much, but the Alpin 7 genuinely surprised me.

Worth the money
Would recommend to anyone after a dependable winter tyre without overspending. Second set of MICHELIN on this car. Felt secure on icy morning roads. Could be a touch quieter on rough tarmac.
