The Pirelli Scorpion Verde All Season is not an all-weather tyre. This tyre does not bear the Alpine symbol (‘snowflake in a mountain’). All-weather tyres without the Alpine symbol (official designation: “3PMSF” – short for Three Peak Mountain Snow Flake) will be banned from 1 October 2024 when driving on icy or snow-covered roads.

What the tyre markings mean

M+S: Mud and Snow (M+S)M+S is a manufacturer's indication that the tread is intended to offer improved traction in mud and snow. By itself it is not the same as the tested 3PMSF winter certification.
Rim protection: Rim protectionA raised rubber profile near the bead helps protect the rim edge from light kerb contact. It cannot prevent every type of wheel damage.

Decent for the price
Good value, though the sidewall is softer than my previous set. Not the grippiest in hard cornering, but for normal driving they're more than adequate.

Smooth ride
Driven about 3,000 km on these so far. Wear looks even and grip is consistent. Decent grip dry and wet, but they took a few hundred km to feel bedded in. Nice not having to swap tyres twice a year.

They're okay. Comfortable enough, but I expected a bit sharper turn-in. Bought a full set of Pirelli for the family car. Coped fine with a light snowfall in early spring.
