What the tyre markings mean

XL: Reinforced tyre (XL)XL means Extra Load. The tyre is reinforced and can carry a higher load than a standard tyre of the same size. Always follow the vehicle's specified load index and tyre pressure.
M+S: Mud and Snow (M+S)M+S is a manufacturer's indication that the tread is intended to offer improved traction in mud and snow. By itself it is not the same as the tested 3PMSF winter certification.
3PMSF: Three-Peak Mountain SnowflakeThe mountain-and-snowflake symbol identifies a tyre that has passed a standardised severe-snow traction test. It is the recognised performance marking for winter conditions.

Reliable summer rubber
Fine for the price. Slightly more road noise than I hoped on coarse asphalt. For this price I didn't expect much, but the TQ025 genuinely surprised me. Nothing fancy, but fair for the price.

All-round good pick
Bought on price, staying for the quality. The TQ025 punches above its weight. Not the grippiest in hard cornering, but for normal driving they're more than adequate. Stable and precise in summer heat.

Good, not perfect
Comfortable over rough surfaces. My old set used to thump over every bump. A sensible buy. Stable and precise in summer heat.

Would buy again
Decent grip dry and wet, but they took a few hundred km to feel bedded in.

Does what it says
Early days, but first impressions are very good. Smooth and quiet. Fitted before a long road trip. Stable and precise in summer heat. Nothing fancy, but fair for the price.
