Enhanced protection against aquaplaning.
The modern tread of the CityTech II effectively channels the water away when it rains. This improves the protection against aquaplaning.
Superb handling on dry roads.
The tyre is very robust – this results in very good cornering stability on dry roads and optimises the handling performance on corners and when driving in a straight line.
Reduced noise level and enhanced driving comfort.
Road noise is lower and the low noise level improves driving comfort.
The modern lateral groove system in the tread grooves means that water is effectively channelled from the contact area in the middle to the large circumferential grooves. This ensures good protection against aquaplaning.
Excellent handling on dry roads.
The outer shoulder is made up of closed shoulder blocks with a solid circumferential groove. This increases the rigidity and results in very good cornering stability on dry roads. The handling performance on corners and when driving in a straight line is fine-tuned.
Reduced noise level and enhanced driving comfort.
The uniform width and inclination of the shoulder grooves, in combination with the slightly offset inner and outer shoulders, reduces the road noise due to the optimised frequency overlay. The low noise level improves the driving comfort

Does what it says
Wet braking is excellent. Gave me real confidence on a flooded motorway stretch.
Reliable summer rubber
Does the job, nothing more. For daily commuting it's perfectly fine. Good value, though the sidewall is softer than my previous set.
Recommended
Reliable summer rubber. No surprises, which is exactly what I want. Fitted them at a mate's garage. No squirm even on hot asphalt.
Fine tyre, minor niggles
They're okay. Comfortable enough, but I expected a bit sharper turn-in. Bought on price, staying for the quality. Not the last word in steering feel.
Nice upgrade
Grip when pulling away on wet junctions is much better than my old tyres. No squirm even on hot asphalt.
Nice upgrade
Second set of Viking on this car. The last ones wore well, expecting the same here. A sensible buy. Stable and precise in summer heat.
