What the tyre markings mean

XL: Reinforced tyre (XL)XL means Extra Load. The tyre is reinforced and can carry a higher load than a standard tyre of the same size. Always follow the vehicle's specified load index and tyre pressure.
M+S: Mud and Snow (M+S)M+S is a manufacturer's indication that the tread is intended to offer improved traction in mud and snow. By itself it is not the same as the tested 3PMSF winter certification.
Rim protection: Rim protectionA raised rubber profile near the bead helps protect the rim edge from light kerb contact. It cannot prevent every type of wheel damage.

Worth the money
They're okay. Comfortable enough, but I expected a bit sharper turn-in. Stable and precise in summer heat.

Nice upgrade
Would recommend to anyone after a dependable summer tyre without overspending. Solid everyday tyre. No squirm even on hot asphalt.

Braking feels secure
Had them fitted last month. Wet grip is confidence-inspiring and they look the part too.

Trusted Yokohama quality
Good value, though the sidewall is softer than my previous set.

Impressed so far
Good value, though the sidewall is softer than my previous set. Grip when pulling away on wet junctions is much better than my old tyres.

Braking feels secure
Would recommend to anyone after a dependable summer tyre without overspending. Does the job, nothing more. No squirm even on hot asphalt.
