With the new UltraContact, Continental therefore now offers a summer tyre with very high mileage and the usual safety standards. To achieve this, the tyre developers have redesigned the compound and tread to combine maximum mileage with safe driving characteristics, low rolling resistance and low noise emission.

Great on the motorway
Had these through a full season now. Wear is minimal and performance hasn't dropped. Fuel consumption seems slightly better since the switch.

Fine tyre, minor niggles
Put these on two months ago and the car feels noticeably more planted. The UltraContact grips well on dry roads. For this price I didn't expect much, but the UltraContact genuinely surprised me.

Okay for everyday driving
Braking in the wet feels a touch longer than my old premium set, but at this price it's fair. Stable and precise in summer heat.
