Description

The Firemax FM601-4 is an inexpensive quality tire from Asia. The tire is produced by a tire manufacturer with many years of experience in the tire production. The Firemax FM601-4 is manufactured in a technologically advanced way and underlies strict qualities controls in each manufacturing step. Developed for a versatile use with best driving characteristics, the standards of quality become visible in every tire detail. Grooves are designed for optimum aquaplaning safety, extending from the contact surface of the ribs to the main groove between the zones.
Four wide grooves and an asymmetrical tread pattern improve handling in wet conditions and prevent aquaplaning.
Optimal surface siping in a 3D block design guarantees improved traction on wet and dry roads.
Highly rigid centre ribs improve handling and driving stability at high speeds.
Increased stiffness of the shoulder blocks and enhanced pressure distribution guarantee maximum grip when cornering at high speeds.

What the tyre markings mean

XL: Reinforced tyre (XL)XL means Extra Load. The tyre is reinforced and can carry a higher load than a standard tyre of the same size. Always follow the vehicle's specified load index and tyre pressure.

Does what it says
Fuel consumption seems slightly better since the switch. Tyres themselves are great. Comfortable over rough surfaces. Stable and precise in summer heat.

Okay for everyday driving
Grip when pulling away on wet junctions is much better than my old tyres. Good tyre overall. No squirm even on hot asphalt.

Fitted and forgotten
Ordered online, fitted locally. The tyres themselves have been faultless so far.
