What the tyre markings mean

M+S: Mud and Snow (M+S)M+S is a manufacturer's indication that the tread is intended to offer improved traction in mud and snow. By itself it is not the same as the tested 3PMSF winter certification.
3PMSF: Three-Peak Mountain SnowflakeThe mountain-and-snowflake symbol identifies a tyre that has passed a standardised severe-snow traction test. It is the recognised performance marking for winter conditions.

Great on the motorway
A sensible buy. Not sporty, but safe and quiet. Third car I've run on Arivo. Nice not having to swap tyres twice a year. Slightly firmer ride than I expected.

Reliable all-season rubber
Grip when pulling away on wet junctions is much better than my old tyres. For this price I didn't expect much, but the Carlorful A/S genuinely surprised me.

Braking in the wet feels a touch longer than my old premium set, but at this price it's fair. Good in town and on the motorway alike. Coped fine with a light snowfall in early spring.
