What the tyre markings mean

XL: Reinforced tyre (XL)XL means Extra Load. The tyre is reinforced and can carry a higher load than a standard tyre of the same size. Always follow the vehicle's specified load index and tyre pressure.
Rim protection: Rim protectionA raised rubber profile near the bead helps protect the rim edge from light kerb contact. It cannot prevent every type of wheel damage.

Nice upgrade
Put these on two months ago and the car feels noticeably more planted. The SP 303 grips well on dry roads.

Fitted and forgotten
Fitted them at a mate's garage. Straightforward job and they've been faultless since. Fine for the price. Not the last word in steering feel.

All-round good pick
Comfortable over rough surfaces. My old set used to thump over every bump. Fitted them at a mate's garage. Stable and precise in summer heat.

Would buy again
Second set of Austone on this car. The last ones wore well, expecting the same here.

Solid summer tyre
Good tyre overall. Would have liked a bit more feedback through the steering. Nothing fancy, but fair for the price.
