Description

The Turanza T005 is designed to help keep control even under difficult driving conditions. The tyre offers first-class braking and cornering characteristics even on rainy days, combined with high mileage.

Superior wear life
Outstanding wet adhesion
Outstanding label grades

Suitable for electric vehicles
Reinforced XL construction for higher load capacity
Runflat design — you can keep driving after a loss of pressure
Low rolling resistance for lower fuel consumption (class B)
Strong wet grip (class A)

As a summer tyre, the Turanza T 005AD RFT is tuned for warm conditions: a firm tread compound and a pattern built for stable dry handling and short braking distances. On wet roads the grooves channel water away quickly to keep the contact patch working.

Like all tyres in our range, this model meets the applicable European safety and labelling standards and is produced under strict quality control.

What the tyre markings mean

XL: Reinforced tyre (XL)XL means Extra Load. The tyre is reinforced and can carry a higher load than a standard tyre of the same size. Always follow the vehicle's specified load index and tyre pressure.
EV: Suitable for electric vehiclesThis tyre is optimised for the weight, torque, rolling resistance and noise requirements of electric and hybrid vehicles. The marking does not mean that it can only be used on an EV.
RFT: Run-flat technologyReinforced sidewalls can permit limited continued driving after a loss of pressure. The permitted speed and distance depend on the manufacturer; a pressure monitoring system is normally required.

Worth the money
Had these through a full season now. Wear is minimal and performance hasn't dropped. Stable and precise in summer heat.

Happy with the purchase
Good summer tyre for the money. Rolling noise is low and braking feels predictable.

All-round good pick
Steering response improved straight away after fitting. Very pleased. Braking in the wet feels a touch longer than my old premium set, but at this price it's fair. Stable and precise in summer heat. Not the last word in steering feel.
