What the tyre markings mean
- XL
- Reinforced tyre (XL)XL means Extra Load. The tyre is reinforced and can carry a higher load than a standard tyre of the same size. Always follow the vehicle's specified load index and tyre pressure.
- M+S
- Mud and Snow (M+S)M+S is a manufacturer's indication that the tread is intended to offer improved traction in mud and snow. By itself it is not the same as the tested 3PMSF winter certification.
- 3PMSF

Pleasantly surprised
Handles standing water better than my previous set. Feel much safer in autumn rain. Put these on two months ago and the car feels noticeably more planted. Coped fine with a light snowfall in early spring.

Continental delivers again
Put these on two months ago and the car feels noticeably more planted. The AllSeasonContact 2 grips well on dry roads. Could be a touch quieter on rough tarmac.
