The ContiSportContact™ 5 adapts to the road surface, giving enhanced grip and handling when accelerating and cornering.

Braking:

Featuring Black Chilli Technology, the ContiSportContact™ 5 is reactive, giving shorter braking distances on wet and dry roads.

Mileage:

The unique tyre composition guarantees considerably lower rolling resistance – for higher mileage and lower fuel consumption.

ContiSeal™ reduces the consequences of tire tread damage: punctures up to 5 mm in diameter (e.g. nail damage) are sealed immediately thanks to a unique technology.

What the tyre markings mean

XL: Reinforced tyre (XL)XL means Extra Load. The tyre is reinforced and can carry a higher load than a standard tyre of the same size. Always follow the vehicle's specified load index and tyre pressure.
Rim protection: Rim protectionA raised rubber profile near the bead helps protect the rim edge from light kerb contact. It cannot prevent every type of wheel damage.
Seal: Self-sealing technologyA sealing layer inside the tyre can close certain small punctures in the tread area. Its limits vary by manufacturer and a damaged tyre should still be inspected.
