The ContiWinterContact TS 830 P offers optimal winter safety for high-performance vehicles. In line with the functions of electronic control systems (ESC), it also performs brilliantly with excellent braking performance on icy and wet roads.

Braking:

High block stiffness in the tread pattern centre and the large number of sipes with maximum formation of gripping edges provide improved braking power on wet and icy roads.

Traction:

The large number of blocks and sipes on the tyre shoulders create a multitude of gripping edges and consequently more effective traction in snow.

Mileage:

Due to an even distribution of block stiffness and the corresponding even pressure distribution in the ground contact patch, the tyre has a lower and more even wear resulting in higher mileage performance.

M+S: Mud and Snow (M+S)M+S is a manufacturer's indication that the tread is intended to offer improved traction in mud and snow. By itself it is not the same as the tested 3PMSF winter certification.
3PMSF: Three-Peak Mountain SnowflakeThe mountain-and-snowflake symbol identifies a tyre that has passed a standardised severe-snow traction test. It is the recognised performance marking for winter conditions.
Rim protection: Rim protectionA raised rubber profile near the bead helps protect the rim edge from light kerb contact. It cannot prevent every type of wheel damage.

Pleasantly surprised
Put these on two months ago and the car feels noticeably more planted. The WinterContact TS 830 P grips well on dry roads. Does the job, nothing more.

Fine for the price. Slightly more road noise than I hoped on coarse asphalt. Braking in the wet feels a touch longer than my old premium set, but at this price it's fair. Proper grip on packed snow, no wheelspin drama.
