Snow performance:
Thanks to the special construction of the traction sipes and the new designed snow grooves, traction is significantly raised resulting in superior handling comfort on snow covered roads.
Braking performance:
The blocks of the rib are only separated through thin lateral grooves which form a stiff rib due to the forces while braking. This leads to shorter braking distance, especially for sporty driving in wintry conditions.
Handling:
Wider and bigger blocks on the outside shoulder increase the contact area. This results in a larger footprint for maximum control and steering precision while cornering on dry wintry roads.
Fuel consumption:
Due to its combination of innovative compound, profile and construction, the WinterContact™ TS 860 S efficiently reduces rolling resistance for higher fuel saving – without compromising on safety.

Solid winter tyre
Had these through a full season now. Wear is minimal and performance hasn't dropped. Would recommend to anyone after a dependable winter tyre without overspending. Felt secure on icy morning roads.

Pleasantly surprised
Put these on two months ago and the car feels noticeably more planted. The WinterContact TS 860 S grips well on dry roads. My mechanic recommended Continental and he was right.

Does what it says
Had them fitted last month. Wet grip is confidence-inspiring and they look the part too. Braking in the wet feels a touch longer than my old premium set, but at this price it's fair.
