- M+S
- Mud and Snow (M+S)M+S is a manufacturer's indication that the tread is intended to offer improved traction in mud and snow. By itself it is not the same as the tested 3PMSF winter certification.
- 3PMSF
- Three-Peak Mountain SnowflakeThe mountain-and-snowflake symbol identifies a tyre that has passed a standardised severe-snow traction test. It is the recognised performance marking for winter conditions.

Nice upgrade
Early days, but first impressions are very good. Smooth and quiet. Decent grip dry and wet, but they took a few hundred km to feel bedded in.

Switched from a budget brand to the WinterContact TS 870 P — the difference in braking is obvious. Grip in corners is reassuring and the steering feels a bit sharper than before. Holds well in snow and slush.

Grip in corners is reassuring and the steering feels a bit sharper than before. Decent grip dry and wet, but they took a few hundred km to feel bedded in. Holds well in snow and slush. Not the last word in steering feel.

Good all-rounder
Wet braking is excellent. Gave me real confidence on a flooded motorway stretch. Grip when pulling away on wet junctions is much better than my old tyres.

Fuel consumption seems slightly better since the switch. Tyres themselves are great. Felt secure on icy morning roads.
