What the tyre markings mean
- XL
- Reinforced tyre (XL)XL means Extra Load. The tyre is reinforced and can carry a higher load than a standard tyre of the same size. Always follow the vehicle's specified load index and tyre pressure.
- M+S
- Mud and Snow (M+S)M+S is a manufacturer's indication that the tread is intended to offer improved traction in mud and snow. By itself it is not the same as the tested 3PMSF winter certification.
- 3PMSF

Trusted Continental quality
Put these on two months ago and the car feels noticeably more planted. The WinterContact TS 870 P grips well on dry roads. Proper grip on packed snow, no wheelspin drama. Could be a touch quieter on rough tarmac.
