What the tyre markings mean

XL: Reinforced tyre (XL)XL means Extra Load. The tyre is reinforced and can carry a higher load than a standard tyre of the same size. Always follow the vehicle's specified load index and tyre pressure.
M+S: Mud and Snow (M+S)M+S is a manufacturer's indication that the tread is intended to offer improved traction in mud and snow. By itself it is not the same as the tested 3PMSF winter certification.
3PMSF: Three-Peak Mountain SnowflakeThe mountain-and-snowflake symbol identifies a tyre that has passed a standardised severe-snow traction test. It is the recognised performance marking for winter conditions.

Fitted and forgotten
Ride comfort is the standout. Long journeys feel less tiring now. Brakes hard and straight, no pulling. Coped fine with a light snowfall in early spring.

Second set of Dunlop on this car. The last ones wore well, expecting the same here. Could be a touch quieter on rough tarmac.
