What the tyre markings mean

XL: Reinforced tyre (XL)XL means Extra Load. The tyre is reinforced and can carry a higher load than a standard tyre of the same size. Always follow the vehicle's specified load index and tyre pressure.
M+S: Mud and Snow (M+S)M+S is a manufacturer's indication that the tread is intended to offer improved traction in mud and snow. By itself it is not the same as the tested 3PMSF winter certification.
3PMSF: Three-Peak Mountain SnowflakeThe mountain-and-snowflake symbol identifies a tyre that has passed a standardised severe-snow traction test. It is the recognised performance marking for winter conditions.

Quiet and comfortable
Comfortable over rough surfaces. My old set used to thump over every bump. Very quiet on tarmac. Coped fine with a light snowfall in early spring.

Good all-season tyre for the money. Rolling noise is low and braking feels predictable. Had them fitted last month.

A step up from my old set
Ordered online, fitted locally. The tyres themselves have been faultless so far.

Trusted Falken quality
Does the job, nothing more. For daily commuting it's perfectly fine. Bought a full set of Falken for the family car.
