What the tyre markings mean

XL: Reinforced tyre (XL)XL means Extra Load. The tyre is reinforced and can carry a higher load than a standard tyre of the same size. Always follow the vehicle's specified load index and tyre pressure.
M+S: Mud and Snow (M+S)M+S is a manufacturer's indication that the tread is intended to offer improved traction in mud and snow. By itself it is not the same as the tested 3PMSF winter certification.
3PMSF: Three-Peak Mountain SnowflakeThe mountain-and-snowflake symbol identifies a tyre that has passed a standardised severe-snow traction test. It is the recognised performance marking for winter conditions.
Rim protection: Rim protectionA raised rubber profile near the bead helps protect the rim edge from light kerb contact. It cannot prevent every type of wheel damage.

Fair tyre for the money
Third car I've run on Falken. Consistent quality every time. Steering response improved straight away after fitting.

Worth the money
Third car I've run on Falken. Consistent quality every time. Fuel consumption seems slightly better since the switch. Coped fine with a light snowfall in early spring. Nothing fancy, but fair for the price.

Very happy with these
Put these on two months ago and the car feels noticeably more planted. The Euroallseason AS-220 PRO grips well on dry roads. Bought on price, staying for the quality.

Recommended
Fitted before a long road trip. Comfortable at motorway speeds and felt safe in heavy rain. Nice not having to swap tyres twice a year.
