M+S: Mud and Snow (M+S)M+S is a manufacturer's indication that the tread is intended to offer improved traction in mud and snow. By itself it is not the same as the tested 3PMSF winter certification.
3PMSF: Three-Peak Mountain SnowflakeThe mountain-and-snowflake symbol identifies a tyre that has passed a standardised severe-snow traction test. It is the recognised performance marking for winter conditions.

Falken delivers again
Not the grippiest in hard cornering, but for normal driving they're more than adequate. Grip in corners is reassuring and the steering feels a bit sharper than before. Proper grip on packed snow, no wheelspin drama.

Does what it says
My mechanic recommended Falken and he was right. Quiet, stable, no complaints. Solid everyday tyre. Felt secure on icy morning roads. Took a few hundred km to bed in.

Fuel consumption seems slightly better since the switch. Tyres themselves are great. Steering response improved straight away after fitting.
