What the tyre markings mean

XL: Reinforced tyre (XL)XL means Extra Load. The tyre is reinforced and can carry a higher load than a standard tyre of the same size. Always follow the vehicle's specified load index and tyre pressure.
M+S: Mud and Snow (M+S)M+S is a manufacturer's indication that the tread is intended to offer improved traction in mud and snow. By itself it is not the same as the tested 3PMSF winter certification.
3PMSF: Three-Peak Mountain SnowflakeThe mountain-and-snowflake symbol identifies a tyre that has passed a standardised severe-snow traction test. It is the recognised performance marking for winter conditions.

Strong performer
Good balance of comfort and handling. Would buy again. Fuel consumption seems slightly better since the switch. Proper grip on packed snow, no wheelspin drama.

Great on the motorway
Had them fitted last month. Wet grip is confidence-inspiring and they look the part too. Ordered online, fitted locally. Felt secure on icy morning roads.

Quiet and comfortable
Bought a full set of Falken for the family car. Comfortable ride and no drama in the rain. Felt secure on icy morning roads.
