What the tyre markings mean

XL: Reinforced tyre (XL)XL means Extra Load. The tyre is reinforced and can carry a higher load than a standard tyre of the same size. Always follow the vehicle's specified load index and tyre pressure.
EV: Suitable for electric vehiclesThis tyre is optimised for the weight, torque, rolling resistance and noise requirements of electric and hybrid vehicles. The marking does not mean that it can only be used on an EV.
Rim protection: Rim protectionA raised rubber profile near the bead helps protect the rim edge from light kerb contact. It cannot prevent every type of wheel damage.

Reliable summer rubber
Reliable summer rubber. No surprises, which is exactly what I want. Had these through a full season now. No squirm even on hot asphalt.

Does the job well
Steering response improved straight away after fitting. Very pleased. Very quiet on tarmac. Stable and precise in summer heat. Could be a touch quieter on rough tarmac.
