What the tyre markings mean

EV: Suitable for electric vehiclesThis tyre is optimised for the weight, torque, rolling resistance and noise requirements of electric and hybrid vehicles. The marking does not mean that it can only be used on an EV.
Rim protection: Rim protectionA raised rubber profile near the bead helps protect the rim edge from light kerb contact. It cannot prevent every type of wheel damage.

Smooth ride
Switched from a budget brand to the Roadhawk 2 — the difference in braking is obvious.

Good, not perfect
Wet braking is excellent. Gave me real confidence on a flooded motorway stretch. Steering response improved straight away after fitting. Stable and precise in summer heat.

Nice upgrade
Early days, but first impressions are very good. Smooth and quiet. Decent grip dry and wet, but they took a few hundred km to feel bedded in. Stable and precise in summer heat.

Decent for the price
They're okay. Comfortable enough, but I expected a bit sharper turn-in. Ordered online, fitted locally.

A sensible buy. Not sporty, but safe and quiet.

Smooth ride
Bought a full set of Firestone for the family car. Comfortable ride and no drama in the rain. Stable and precise in summer heat.
