What the tyre markings mean

M+S: Mud and Snow (M+S)M+S is a manufacturer's indication that the tread is intended to offer improved traction in mud and snow. By itself it is not the same as the tested 3PMSF winter certification.
3PMSF: Three-Peak Mountain SnowflakeThe mountain-and-snowflake symbol identifies a tyre that has passed a standardised severe-snow traction test. It is the recognised performance marking for winter conditions.
EV: Suitable for electric vehiclesThis tyre is optimised for the weight, torque, rolling resistance and noise requirements of electric and hybrid vehicles. The marking does not mean that it can only be used on an EV.

Does what it says
They're okay. Comfortable enough, but I expected a bit sharper turn-in. Good tyre overall. Proper grip on packed snow, no wheelspin drama.

Reliable winter rubber
Second set of Firestone on this car. The last ones wore well, expecting the same here. Felt secure on icy morning roads.

Braking feels secure
Decent grip dry and wet, but they took a few hundred km to feel bedded in. Took a few hundred km to bed in.

Decent for the price
Second set of Firestone on this car. The last ones wore well, expecting the same here. Driven about 3,000 km on these so far.
