What the tyre markings mean

M+S: Mud and Snow (M+S)M+S is a manufacturer's indication that the tread is intended to offer improved traction in mud and snow. By itself it is not the same as the tested 3PMSF winter certification.
3PMSF: Three-Peak Mountain SnowflakeThe mountain-and-snowflake symbol identifies a tyre that has passed a standardised severe-snow traction test. It is the recognised performance marking for winter conditions.
EV: Suitable for electric vehiclesThis tyre is optimised for the weight, torque, rolling resistance and noise requirements of electric and hybrid vehicles. The marking does not mean that it can only be used on an EV.

Strong performer
Steering response improved straight away after fitting. Very pleased. Does exactly what a all-season tyre should. Nice not having to swap tyres twice a year.

Fitted and forgotten
Brakes hard and straight, no pulling. Very reassuring. Grip when pulling away on wet junctions is much better than my old tyres. Coped fine with a light snowfall in early spring.

Confidence in corners
Fuel consumption seems slightly better since the switch. Tyres themselves are great. Fitted them at a mate's garage.

Does the job well
Had them fitted last month. Wet grip is confidence-inspiring and they look the part too. Switched from a budget brand to the Vanhawk Multiseason — the difference in braking is obvious. Nice not having to swap tyres twice a year.
