The Snow-Catcher-Technology is a special arrangement of the tread grooves in the middle area. This compresses the snow and provides an optimal basis for good grip. The "Bubble Blade" composite slat technology enables outstanding winter performance with good profile stability at the same time.

What the tyre markings mean

XL: Reinforced tyre (XL)XL means Extra Load. The tyre is reinforced and can carry a higher load than a standard tyre of the same size. Always follow the vehicle's specified load index and tyre pressure.
M+S: Mud and Snow (M+S)M+S is a manufacturer's indication that the tread is intended to offer improved traction in mud and snow. By itself it is not the same as the tested 3PMSF winter certification.
3PMSF: Three-Peak Mountain SnowflakeThe mountain-and-snowflake symbol identifies a tyre that has passed a standardised severe-snow traction test. It is the recognised performance marking for winter conditions.
Rim protection: Rim protectionA raised rubber profile near the bead helps protect the rim edge from light kerb contact. It cannot prevent every type of wheel damage.

Good grip in the wet
Fine for the price. Slightly more road noise than I hoped on coarse asphalt. Grip in corners is reassuring and the steering feels a bit sharper than before.

Pleasantly surprised
Wet braking is excellent. Gave me real confidence on a flooded motorway stretch. Decent grip dry and wet, but they took a few hundred km to feel bedded in.
