Select a garageThe winter tyre that provides excellent snow traction
The UltraGrip 8 is the first directional tyre to use the latest generation of highly efficient 3D-BIS technology throughout the entire tread pattern. Goodyear's patented Three-Dimensional "Block Interlocking System" (3D-BIS) allows an increased number of sipes in the tyre’s tread. A higher sipe density gives extra grip on ice and snow because sipes provide edges, which literally bite into the snow and ice for strong grip and traction as they open up before coming into contact with the road surface.
To provide outstanding handling and braking performance on both wet and dry roads however, the blocks need to be stiff and solid. For this Goodyear engineers have developed the "3D Interlocking Effect": inside each sipe, the walls have raised pyramids and holes.

A step up from my old set
A sensible buy. Not sporty, but safe and quiet. Does the job, nothing more.
Great value for money
Bought a full set of Goodyear for the family car. Comfortable ride and no drama in the rain.
Fine tyre, minor niggles
The car feels more stable in crosswinds since fitting these. Proper grip on packed snow, no wheelspin drama.
Good all-rounder
Good tyre overall. Would have liked a bit more feedback through the steering. Could be a touch quieter on rough tarmac.
Impressed so far
Early days, but first impressions are very good. Smooth and quiet. Holds well in snow and slush.
Solid winter tyre
Put these on two months ago and the car feels noticeably more planted. The Ultra Grip 8 MS ROF grips well on dry roads.
