What the tyre markings mean

XL: Reinforced tyre (XL)XL means Extra Load. The tyre is reinforced and can carry a higher load than a standard tyre of the same size. Always follow the vehicle's specified load index and tyre pressure.
M+S: Mud and Snow (M+S)M+S is a manufacturer's indication that the tread is intended to offer improved traction in mud and snow. By itself it is not the same as the tested 3PMSF winter certification.
3PMSF: Three-Peak Mountain SnowflakeThe mountain-and-snowflake symbol identifies a tyre that has passed a standardised severe-snow traction test. It is the recognised performance marking for winter conditions.

Good all-rounder
Comfortable over rough surfaces. My old set used to thump over every bump. Solid everyday tyre.

Happy with the purchase
Not the grippiest in hard cornering, but for normal driving they're more than adequate. Good value, though the sidewall is softer than my previous set. No squirm even on hot asphalt.

Fitted before a long road trip. Comfortable at motorway speeds and felt safe in heavy rain.

Does the job well
Good in town and on the motorway alike. Versatile tyre. Does exactly what a summer tyre should.
