Thanks to the 3PSMF and M+S markings, the new Krisalp HP3 offers you the most important winter features.
A new rubber compound with functional elastomers, as well as more and fine-tuned lamellas, improve grip on snow-covered road surfaces and reduce braking distance on ice.
For enhanced water drainage Directional V-shaped tread pattern with intersecting tread grooves in the center of the tread and increasing width of the grooves toward the shoulder.

What the tyre markings mean

XL: Reinforced tyre (XL)XL means Extra Load. The tyre is reinforced and can carry a higher load than a standard tyre of the same size. Always follow the vehicle's specified load index and tyre pressure.
M+S: Mud and Snow (M+S)M+S is a manufacturer's indication that the tread is intended to offer improved traction in mud and snow. By itself it is not the same as the tested 3PMSF winter certification.
3PMSF: Three-Peak Mountain SnowflakeThe mountain-and-snowflake symbol identifies a tyre that has passed a standardised severe-snow traction test. It is the recognised performance marking for winter conditions.
Rim protection: Rim protectionA raised rubber profile near the bead helps protect the rim edge from light kerb contact. It cannot prevent every type of wheel damage.

Great on the motorway
Solid everyday tyre. Nothing flashy, but it does everything I ask of it. Decent grip dry and wet, but they took a few hundred km to feel bedded in. Felt secure on icy morning roads.
