A new rubber compound with functional elastomers, as well as more and optimized lamellas, improve grip on snow-covered road surfaces and reduce braking distance on ice.
For improved water drainage Directional V-shaped tread pattern with intersecting tread grooves in the center of the tread and increasing width of the grooves toward the shoulder.
Thanks to the 3PSMF and M+S markings, the new KLEBER Krisalp HP3 offers you the most important winter features.

What the tyre markings mean

XL: Reinforced tyre (XL)XL means Extra Load. The tyre is reinforced and can carry a higher load than a standard tyre of the same size. Always follow the vehicle's specified load index and tyre pressure.
M+S: Mud and Snow (M+S)M+S is a manufacturer's indication that the tread is intended to offer improved traction in mud and snow. By itself it is not the same as the tested 3PMSF winter certification.
3PMSF: Three-Peak Mountain SnowflakeThe mountain-and-snowflake symbol identifies a tyre that has passed a standardised severe-snow traction test. It is the recognised performance marking for winter conditions.

Bought on price, staying for the quality. The Krisalp HP3 SUV punches above its weight. Braking in the wet feels a touch longer than my old premium set, but at this price it's fair.

Comfortable over rough surfaces. My old set used to thump over every bump. Decent grip dry and wet, but they took a few hundred km to feel bedded in. Could be a touch quieter on rough tarmac.
