What the tyre markings mean

XL: Reinforced tyre (XL)XL means Extra Load. The tyre is reinforced and can carry a higher load than a standard tyre of the same size. Always follow the vehicle's specified load index and tyre pressure.
M+S: Mud and Snow (M+S)M+S is a manufacturer's indication that the tread is intended to offer improved traction in mud and snow. By itself it is not the same as the tested 3PMSF winter certification.
3PMSF: Three-Peak Mountain SnowflakeThe mountain-and-snowflake symbol identifies a tyre that has passed a standardised severe-snow traction test. It is the recognised performance marking for winter conditions.

Nice upgrade
Wet braking is excellent. Gave me real confidence on a flooded motorway stretch. Bought on price, staying for the quality.

Okay for everyday driving
Second set of Kormoran on this car. The last ones wore well, expecting the same here. Nice not having to swap tyres twice a year.

Quiet and comfortable
My mechanic recommended Kormoran and he was right. Quiet, stable, no complaints. Nice not having to swap tyres twice a year.

Good all-rounder
Good balance of comfort and handling. Would buy again. Had them fitted last month.

Worth the money
Good all-season tyre for the money. Rolling noise is low and braking feels predictable. Braking in the wet feels a touch longer than my old premium set, but at this price it's fair. Nice not having to swap tyres twice a year. Nothing fancy, but fair for the price.
