As a summer tyre, the Crugen HP71 is tuned for warm conditions: a firm tread compound and a pattern built for stable dry handling and short braking distances. On wet roads the grooves channel water away quickly to keep the contact patch working.

Like all tyres in our range, this model meets the applicable European safety and labelling standards and is produced under strict quality control.

What the tyre markings mean

XL: Reinforced tyre (XL)XL means Extra Load. The tyre is reinforced and can carry a higher load than a standard tyre of the same size. Always follow the vehicle's specified load index and tyre pressure.
M+S: Mud and Snow (M+S)M+S is a manufacturer's indication that the tread is intended to offer improved traction in mud and snow. By itself it is not the same as the tested 3PMSF winter certification.
Rim protection: Rim protectionA raised rubber profile near the bead helps protect the rim edge from light kerb contact. It cannot prevent every type of wheel damage.

Very happy with these
The car feels more stable in crosswinds since fitting these. For this price I didn't expect much, but the Crugen HP71 genuinely surprised me. Could be a touch quieter on rough tarmac.

Okay for everyday driving
Fine for the price. Slightly more road noise than I hoped on coarse asphalt. Balanced and predictable. No squirm even on hot asphalt. Took a few hundred km to bed in.
