What the tyre markings mean

XL: Reinforced tyre (XL)XL means Extra Load. The tyre is reinforced and can carry a higher load than a standard tyre of the same size. Always follow the vehicle's specified load index and tyre pressure.
M+S: Mud and Snow (M+S)M+S is a manufacturer's indication that the tread is intended to offer improved traction in mud and snow. By itself it is not the same as the tested 3PMSF winter certification.
3PMSF: Three-Peak Mountain SnowflakeThe mountain-and-snowflake symbol identifies a tyre that has passed a standardised severe-snow traction test. It is the recognised performance marking for winter conditions.

Very happy with these
For this price I didn't expect much, but the Solus 4S HA32 genuinely surprised me. Not the last word in steering feel.

Good all-rounder
Not the grippiest in hard cornering, but for normal driving they're more than adequate. Grip when pulling away on wet junctions is much better than my old tyres. Nice not having to swap tyres twice a year. Slightly firmer ride than I expected.

They're okay. Comfortable enough, but I expected a bit sharper turn-in.

Good all-rounder
Comfortable over rough surfaces. My old set used to thump over every bump. For this price I didn't expect much, but the Solus 4S HA32 genuinely surprised me. Nothing fancy, but fair for the price.
