What the tyre markings mean

M+S: Mud and Snow (M+S)M+S is a manufacturer's indication that the tread is intended to offer improved traction in mud and snow. By itself it is not the same as the tested 3PMSF winter certification.
3PMSF: Three-Peak Mountain SnowflakeThe mountain-and-snowflake symbol identifies a tyre that has passed a standardised severe-snow traction test. It is the recognised performance marking for winter conditions.

Okay for everyday driving
Very quiet on tarmac. The Winter Lander made my commute noticeably more relaxed. Would recommend to anyone after a dependable winter tyre without overspending.

Handles well
Second set of Landsail on this car. The last ones wore well, expecting the same here. Not the grippiest in hard cornering, but for normal driving they're more than adequate.

Fair tyre for the money
Does the job, nothing more. For daily commuting it's perfectly fine. For this price I didn't expect much, but the Winter Lander genuinely surprised me.

Would buy again
Good winter tyre for the money. Rolling noise is low and braking feels predictable. Had them fitted last month. Could be a touch quieter on rough tarmac.

Better than expected
Good value, though the sidewall is softer than my previous set. Grip when pulling away on wet junctions is much better than my old tyres. Proper grip on packed snow, no wheelspin drama.
