What the tyre markings mean

XL: Reinforced tyre (XL)XL means Extra Load. The tyre is reinforced and can carry a higher load than a standard tyre of the same size. Always follow the vehicle's specified load index and tyre pressure.
M+S: Mud and Snow (M+S)M+S is a manufacturer's indication that the tread is intended to offer improved traction in mud and snow. By itself it is not the same as the tested 3PMSF winter certification.
3PMSF: Three-Peak Mountain SnowflakeThe mountain-and-snowflake symbol identifies a tyre that has passed a standardised severe-snow traction test. It is the recognised performance marking for winter conditions.
EV: Suitable for electric vehiclesThis tyre is optimised for the weight, torque, rolling resistance and noise requirements of electric and hybrid vehicles. The marking does not mean that it can only be used on an EV.

Good balance of comfort and handling. Would buy again. Fitted before a long road trip. Holds well in snow and slush.

Smooth ride
Had these through a full season now. Wear is minimal and performance hasn't dropped. Switched from a budget brand to the Pilot Alpin 5 SUV — the difference in braking is obvious. Holds well in snow and slush.

Second set of MICHELIN on this car. The last ones wore well, expecting the same here. Holds well in snow and slush. Could be a touch quieter on rough tarmac.
