The Pilot Sport 3 promises better handling in bends, up to 3 metres shorter braking distance on wet roads, very precise steering and excellent energy efficiency and mileage.

Anti-surf system:

The profile design of the MICHELIN Pilot Sport 3 enables effective breaking and dividing of the water film. This improves water drainage and reduces the risk of aquaplaning.

Green Power Compound:

The innovative rubber compound guarantees excellent grip even on wet roads with low fuel consumption and high mileage.

What the tyre markings mean

XL: Reinforced tyre (XL)XL means Extra Load. The tyre is reinforced and can carry a higher load than a standard tyre of the same size. Always follow the vehicle's specified load index and tyre pressure.
EV: Suitable for electric vehiclesThis tyre is optimised for the weight, torque, rolling resistance and noise requirements of electric and hybrid vehicles. The marking does not mean that it can only be used on an EV.
RFT: Run-flat technologyReinforced sidewalls can permit limited continued driving after a loss of pressure. The permitted speed and distance depend on the manufacturer; a pressure monitoring system is normally required.

Switched from a budget brand to the Pilot Sport 3 ZP — the difference in braking is obvious. Bought on price, staying for the quality. No squirm even on hot asphalt. Could be a touch quieter on rough tarmac.
