What the tyre markings mean

XL: Reinforced tyre (XL)XL means Extra Load. The tyre is reinforced and can carry a higher load than a standard tyre of the same size. Always follow the vehicle's specified load index and tyre pressure.
M+S: Mud and Snow (M+S)M+S is a manufacturer's indication that the tread is intended to offer improved traction in mud and snow. By itself it is not the same as the tested 3PMSF winter certification.
EV: Suitable for electric vehiclesThis tyre is optimised for the weight, torque, rolling resistance and noise requirements of electric and hybrid vehicles. The marking does not mean that it can only be used on an EV.

Put these on two months ago and the car feels noticeably more planted. The Primacy All Season grips well on dry roads. Fuel consumption seems slightly better since the switch.

Solid all-season tyre
Switched from a budget brand to the Primacy All Season — the difference in braking is obvious. Fitted them at a mate's garage. Nice not having to swap tyres twice a year.
