What the tyre markings mean

XL: Reinforced tyre (XL)XL means Extra Load. The tyre is reinforced and can carry a higher load than a standard tyre of the same size. Always follow the vehicle's specified load index and tyre pressure.
M+S: Mud and Snow (M+S)M+S is a manufacturer's indication that the tread is intended to offer improved traction in mud and snow. By itself it is not the same as the tested 3PMSF winter certification.
3PMSF: Three-Peak Mountain SnowflakeThe mountain-and-snowflake symbol identifies a tyre that has passed a standardised severe-snow traction test. It is the recognised performance marking for winter conditions.
EV: Suitable for electric vehiclesThis tyre is optimised for the weight, torque, rolling resistance and noise requirements of electric and hybrid vehicles. The marking does not mean that it can only be used on an EV.

Does what it says
For this price I didn't expect much, but the Seasonproof 2 genuinely surprised me. Fine for the price.

Does the job well
Driven about 3,000 km on these so far. Wear looks even and grip is consistent. Nice not having to swap tyres twice a year. Not the last word in steering feel.

Very happy with these
Bought on price, staying for the quality. The Seasonproof 2 punches above its weight. Nothing fancy, but fair for the price.

Very happy with these
Had them fitted last month. Wet grip is confidence-inspiring and they look the part too. Coped fine with a light snowfall in early spring.

Nokian Tyres delivers again
Switched from a budget brand to the Seasonproof 2 — the difference in braking is obvious.
