What the tyre markings mean

XL: Reinforced tyre (XL)XL means Extra Load. The tyre is reinforced and can carry a higher load than a standard tyre of the same size. Always follow the vehicle's specified load index and tyre pressure.
M+S: Mud and Snow (M+S)M+S is a manufacturer's indication that the tread is intended to offer improved traction in mud and snow. By itself it is not the same as the tested 3PMSF winter certification.
3PMSF: Three-Peak Mountain SnowflakeThe mountain-and-snowflake symbol identifies a tyre that has passed a standardised severe-snow traction test. It is the recognised performance marking for winter conditions.
EV: Suitable for electric vehiclesThis tyre is optimised for the weight, torque, rolling resistance and noise requirements of electric and hybrid vehicles. The marking does not mean that it can only be used on an EV.
Rim protection: Rim protectionA raised rubber profile near the bead helps protect the rim edge from light kerb contact. It cannot prevent every type of wheel damage.

Pleasantly surprised
Bought a full set of Nokian Tyres for the family car. Comfortable ride and no drama in the rain. Coped fine with a light snowfall in early spring.

Strong performer
For this price I didn't expect much, but the Seasonproof 2 genuinely surprised me. Nice not having to swap tyres twice a year.

Quality you can feel
Fine for the price. Slightly more road noise than I hoped on coarse asphalt. Would recommend to anyone after a dependable all-season tyre without overspending. Nice not having to swap tyres twice a year.

Solid all-season tyre
They're okay. Comfortable enough, but I expected a bit sharper turn-in. Nice not having to swap tyres twice a year.
