What the tyre markings mean

XL: Reinforced tyre (XL)XL means Extra Load. The tyre is reinforced and can carry a higher load than a standard tyre of the same size. Always follow the vehicle's specified load index and tyre pressure.
M+S: Mud and Snow (M+S)M+S is a manufacturer's indication that the tread is intended to offer improved traction in mud and snow. By itself it is not the same as the tested 3PMSF winter certification.
3PMSF: Three-Peak Mountain SnowflakeThe mountain-and-snowflake symbol identifies a tyre that has passed a standardised severe-snow traction test. It is the recognised performance marking for winter conditions.
EV: Suitable for electric vehiclesThis tyre is optimised for the weight, torque, rolling resistance and noise requirements of electric and hybrid vehicles. The marking does not mean that it can only be used on an EV.

Fair tyre for the money
Handles standing water better than my previous set. Feel much safer in autumn rain. They're okay.

All-round good pick
Comfortable over rough surfaces. My old set used to thump over every bump. Steering response improved straight away after fitting.

Does the job well
Fitted them at a mate's garage. Straightforward job and they've been faultless since. Coped fine with a light snowfall in early spring. Not the last word in steering feel.

Smooth ride
Would recommend to anyone after a dependable all-season tyre without overspending. Fitted before a long road trip. Coped fine with a light snowfall in early spring.

Fine tyre, minor niggles
Driven about 3,000 km on these so far. Wear looks even and grip is consistent. Very quiet on tarmac. Slightly firmer ride than I expected.
