Nokian Tyres Snowproof 2 is a safe and dependable premium winter tire for Central European passenger car drivers. The tire’s most important feature is superb winter safety in all conditions, resulting in excellent performance on snow, slush, and rain. Whether you drive on speedy autobahns, busy urban tra ffic, or scenic Alpine roads, driving feels controlled and predictable.
The Alpine Sense Grip 2.0 consists of a new, V-shaped tread pattern, 3D siping and Alpine Grip 2.0 compound. The tread design e ffectively removes snow and slush from between the tire and the road while the tailored, 3D siping guarantees superb lateral and longitudinal grip. The Alpine Grip 2.0 compound tackles the demanding and cold winter conditions, while o ffering superb performance in milder weather. It responds reliably to the rise and drop of temperature, as the compound stays flexible and grippy in a wide condition range. The new compound also comes with high silica content, which results in a better wet grip. The rolling resistance is also on a premium level, which generates energy savings and reduces harmful emissions.
To provide maximum comfort and first-class safety, the tread area of the tire is divided into two functional zones. The Dual Zone Safety concept consists of the Grip Zone, which guarantees impressive winter grip, and the Handling Zone, which offers control and stability. Designed to prevent dangerous aquaplaning, the Hydroflow Grooves on the tread will e ffectively remove water and slush from between the tire and the road.

Nokian Tyres delivers again
Grip when pulling away on wet junctions is much better than my old tyres. Fuel consumption seems slightly better since the switch.

Solid choice
Driven about 3,000 km on these so far. Wear looks even and grip is consistent. The car feels more stable in crosswinds since fitting these. Felt secure on icy morning roads. Could be a touch quieter on rough tarmac.

Not the grippiest in hard cornering, but for normal driving they're more than adequate. Good balance of comfort and handling.
