The Scorpion™ winter was designed for modern Sport Utility Vehicles (SUV) and Crossover Utility Vehicles (CUV) and was developed especially for the high-end segment. It makes an important contribution to the driver's safety by guaranteeing maximum stability and control in snow, wet and dry conditions.

What the tyre markings mean

XL: Reinforced tyre (XL)XL means Extra Load. The tyre is reinforced and can carry a higher load than a standard tyre of the same size. Always follow the vehicle's specified load index and tyre pressure.
M+S: Mud and Snow (M+S)M+S is a manufacturer's indication that the tread is intended to offer improved traction in mud and snow. By itself it is not the same as the tested 3PMSF winter certification.
3PMSF: Three-Peak Mountain SnowflakeThe mountain-and-snowflake symbol identifies a tyre that has passed a standardised severe-snow traction test. It is the recognised performance marking for winter conditions.
EV: Suitable for electric vehiclesThis tyre is optimised for the weight, torque, rolling resistance and noise requirements of electric and hybrid vehicles. The marking does not mean that it can only be used on an EV.
Rim protection: Rim protectionA raised rubber profile near the bead helps protect the rim edge from light kerb contact. It cannot prevent every type of wheel damage.

Good winter tyre for the money. Rolling noise is low and braking feels predictable. Felt secure on icy morning roads. Could be a touch quieter on rough tarmac.

Driven about 3,000 km on these so far. Wear looks even and grip is consistent. Switched from a budget brand to the Scorpion Winter Run Flat — the difference in braking is obvious. Slightly firmer ride than I expected.
