What the tyre markings mean
- XL
- Reinforced tyre (XL)XL means Extra Load. The tyre is reinforced and can carry a higher load than a standard tyre of the same size. Always follow the vehicle's specified load index and tyre pressure.
- M+S
- Mud and Snow (M+S)M+S is a manufacturer's indication that the tread is intended to offer improved traction in mud and snow. By itself it is not the same as the tested 3PMSF winter certification.

Impressed so far
Had these through a full season now. Wear is minimal and performance hasn't dropped. Steering response improved straight away after fitting. Proper grip on packed snow, no wheelspin drama.

Trusted Pirelli quality
Fitted before a long road trip. Comfortable at motorway speeds and felt safe in heavy rain. The car feels more stable in crosswinds since fitting these. Holds well in snow and slush.

Good grip in the wet
Braking in the wet feels a touch longer than my old premium set, but at this price it's fair. Grip when pulling away on wet junctions is much better than my old tyres.
