New compounds and new sipe design have been used introducing the latest technological features. Furthermore, Winter Sottozero™ 3 has been co-developed with premium and prestige OEMs.
Run Flat – No pressure drive
The Pirelli Self Supporting system presents specific reinforcements inserted into the sidewall’s structure.
Pirelli Run Flat tyres support lateral and transverse loads of the vehicle even in the absence of pressure.
What the tyre markings mean
- XL
- Reinforced tyre (XL)XL means Extra Load. The tyre is reinforced and can carry a higher load than a standard tyre of the same size. Always follow the vehicle's specified load index and tyre pressure.
- M+S

Good in town and on the motorway alike. Versatile tyre. Holds well in snow and slush.

Decent grip dry and wet, but they took a few hundred km to feel bedded in. Felt secure on icy morning roads. Nothing fancy, but fair for the price.

Solid winter tyre
Put these on two months ago and the car feels noticeably more planted. The Winter Sottozero 3 Run Flat grips well on dry roads. Does the job, nothing more. Slightly firmer ride than I expected.
